West Ham make surprising promise to young striker to convince him to join the club.
Everyone is aware of the striker curse that surrounds West Ham. Although Evan Ferguson’s first 45 minutes in claret and blue were extremely promising, the fact that he’s only joined on loan means that the issue is far from being resolved.
However, they’re keen to find a long-term solution, with the signing of Dominic Cummings looking likely.
After failing to agree a deal with Celtic in January the Hammers are keen to sign him on a pre-contract agreement before his deal expires.
Surprisingly though, one of the main reasons he’s supposedly keen to join is said to be that he’s been promised to be involved in the first-team.
Given how young he is, it seems like a bold promise to make, but it shows how highly rated he is. Hopefully he can show that this trust was not misplaced.
