West Ham Academy defender Luizao is in talks to depart the club, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Brazilian defender, who joined the club in 2023 from São Paulo, has struggled in his development towards first team football and it’s understood he is keen to move on and kick-start his career elsewhere.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our club insider Ex has advised that the player is in talks to head to Poland to establish himself at senior first team level.

“Brazilian Academy defender Luizao is in talks to join Polish side Pogoń Szczecin,” reported Ex. “The player had been in talks about both a loan and permanent move and was keen to start playing first team football.

“Despite his young age the Brazilian has a wife and kids and is looking to settle somewhere and kick on with a first team career. The Polish transfer window closes this Monday and Luizao is expected to make his move official before then.”

In further news, Ex has also reported that the Daniel Cummings move from Celtic is now all in place to be confirmed, with the player having completed his medical.

“Daniel Cummings has completed all parts of his transfer to West Ham from Celtic,” added Ex. “The club could make an announcement soon or wait until the summer to check that he has maintained full fitness before processing the deal. Cummings contract will begin in the 1st of July.”
