West Ham are monitoring player with 100 goals in 5 years.

After years of little to no success, West Ham are determined to solve their striker issues. Evan Ferguson may have had a bright start in East London, but with his deal only being a straight loan they must find a long term solution in the event that he’s not signed permanently.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it seems like they’re top target is someone they’ve held interest in for quite some time: Jonathan David.

The Canadian is available on a free transfer, making him the ideal candidate. His goal scoring record for both his country and Lille speaks for itself, and he has everything a modern striker needs.

However, recent reports have claimed that he may not be a completely realistic target as his wage demands could be well above what the Irons are willing to pay. On top of this, some of Europe’s biggest clubs are said to be holding firm interest in securing his signature.

Given that he’s only 25, has an immense record, and is available for free, the club should be doing absolutely everything to sign him. Although this might not be enough given the competition, it’s still worth the effort no matter how small the odds are.
