PSR won’t be an issue for West Ham this Summer.

Graham Potter has clearly had a massive positive impact on West Ham already. While they didn’t receive the new manager bounce, things have begun to click and they’ve won their last two games without conceding.

To build upon this though, Potter will need to be backed in the Summer transfer window. However, financial expert Stefan Borson has revealed there’s no reason that the Hammers can’t spend big.

“They’ve still got a lot of PSR capacity on the back of the Declan Rice sale,” he told Football Insider. “That’s not a problem for West Ham. It’s just a question of how much the owners want to invest.”

“West Ham are a club who find it hard to get out of the middle ground in the Premier League.”

“When you’ve got 60,000 fans coming in every week, you’re going to be under pressure to spend money. The problem they’ve got is they are not particularly profitable, before player sales.”

Obviously there will be a few departures due to contracts expiring, but it’s vital Potter has a decent kitty. However, with the club already committed to paying around £40 million for Todibo, who knows what the budget will actually look like.
