West Ham held a behind-closed-doors friendly yesterday with the U18’s taking on the senior team, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Following what has been a very positive week for the club, with Graham Potter’s side picking up back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season, it was decided that the friendly would take place for Potter to look at his squad further and test new systems.

Our club insider Ex exclusively reported on The West Ham Way Patreon that the friendly included both Lewis Orford and Kaelan Casey, which explained why they were absent from the U21’s side who beat Derby County last night.

“The reason that both Lewis Orford and Kaelan Casey missed the under 21s 1-0 win away at Derby this evening is that they played in behind closed doors match for West Ham yesterday,” stated Ex.  “A West Ham under 18s side took on the senior side in a friendly match.

“This game was designed to give Potter a chance to look at different systems and give some match time to some of the fringe first team players who hadnt featured regularly for the first team. The game was said to have finished 5-0 to the first team with Danny Ings and Luis Guilherme amongst the goalscorers.”
