There has been a huge blow to West Ham’s hopes of making it three wins from three as Alexander Isak is fit to face Graham Potter’s team.

The Geordies face a difficult trip to an in-form West Ham side on Monday night amid somewhat of an injury/suspension crisis.

Anthony Gordon is suspended for the match as he was banned for three games after lashing out in the face of Brighton defender Van Hecke.

Lewis Hall and Sven Botman have picked up injuries recently and are expected to be ruled out for the rest of the season.

Kieran Trippier is the latest to be ruled out of the match due to a back injury, so they may be forced to put together a makeshift defence.

However, one position that won’t need to be replaced in the starting eleven is striker. There were doubts about Alexander Isak’s fitness but he has now been confirmed fit.

The Swedish striker has been in sensational form this season scoring 22 goals and providing 5 assists in 31 matches in all competitions.

Without Isak as well as Gordon it would have been difficult to see where the goals would have come from. However, every West Ham fan knows about Callum Wilson’s record against the Hammers, so who knows, maybe Isak being fit is a blessing in disguise.

Gordon missing out also means Harvey Barnes will likely start on the left, another player with an excellent record against us. So, maybe the magpies missing some of their best players isn’t all good news for West Ham.
