West Ham Director of football Mark Noble is excited for the clubs pre-season trip to the USA this summer.

The Hammers will jet across the Atlantic for the second successive summer to take on Everton, AFC Bournemouth and Manchester United in Chicago, Atlanta and New Jersey respectively.

In an interview with NBC Sports, Noble said: “Hopefully we’ll see fast-paced football, a lot of goals and excitement and we know the Premier League is the best league in the world, so we’re delighted to be part of the Premier League Summer Series and be going over to the States again.”

“I’ve been shocked a little bit (by the support in America), to be honest! When we were in the States in the summer the support we had was incredible and we just need to keep growing the West Ham brand and keep going on tour to the States because we love it over there.

“You train in the heat and get fit and also showcase what the Premier League is about by coming to America. It’s a massive market for us and we have fans there who do not get to watch us week-in and week-out at London Stadium and sample the atmosphere, so hopefully we can take it out to America.”

Noble has been on a few trips to America in the past, the first being all the way back in 2008 in Columbus, Ohio. He was also part of the squad that went to Seattle, Washington, and Cary, North Carolina eight years later in in 2016.

Noble said: “Our fans are honest and have a real passion for the Football Club,” he observed. “It’s more like a religion than supporting a Football Club.

“They let you know when it’s not going well, but also they let you know when it’s going really well. As someone who grew up in east London I know how that feels, first as a player and now as a Director. They’re great!”

A trip to America is a great way for the club to branch out even further, it allows fans that cannot make matches in England usually to feel like they can really be part of the Hammers fanbase, It is also an opportunity to potentially get even more fans. More than 200,000 tickets will be available to watch the Hammers in late July/August.

Also, with no major International tournaments this summer, Hammers fans across the pond will be guaranteed to see International players like Jarrod Bowen, Niclas Fullkrug and Alphonse Areola in action stateside.
