Chris Sutton believes David Moyes will be eager to show West Ham what they’re missing out on later today.
The BBC Sport pundit gave his prediction for this afternoons Premier League encounter – the last we will have at Goodison Park ahead of their move to Bramley Moore Dock next season.
The former footballer, ironically quite predictably, feels that Everton will overcome Graham Potters Hammers’ today, with the media lining up to stick the boot in to West Ham later no doubt.
“I’ve got to admit I’ve had some help from my 5 live colleague Ali Bruce-Ball for some of these predictions,” said Sutton.
“Ali is my co-host on the Fantasy 606 podcast and he is still upset from when I called him a phony Ipswich fan on here a couple of weeks ago.
“I do value his football knowledge, which is why I’ve got him involved here, but if I get any of these predictions wrong then it is all his fault.
“Bruce wants to go with a 1-0 Everton win but I think West Ham will score – Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus are both lively, so I reckon a 2-1 Everton victory is more likely.
“Everton are on an eight-game unbeaten run in the league under David Moyes, and I certainly don’t see that ending this weekend.
“Moyes left West Ham amicably last summer but there will still be a part of him that will want to show them they were wrong for not renewing his contract.” Sutton’s prediction: 2-1
