West Ham look to sign a highly-rated goalkeeper in the Summer.

Although it’s certainly improved under Graham Potter, the amount of goals West Ham have conceded over the past year has been massively concerning. Obviously the defence has been a huge part of these issues, but you do have to ask questions of the goalkeepers too.

Areola does make some incredible saves, but he struggles to take command of the players in front of him and has a real lack of presence. Fabianski has been a vital player to the club over the years, but he’s the oldest player in the Premier League.

This has led the Hammers in desperate need of a new keeper in the Summer. They need someone young but with enough experience to be first choice right away,

As a result, they’ve reportedly shown interest in Roma shot-stopper Mile Svilar. The Serbian has made 42 appearances in all competitions this season.

While he is under contract until 2027, Roma’s attempts to extend his stay have been rejected as they’ve not met his £65,000-a-week wage demands.

Securing the 25-year-old’s signature won’t be easy though, with Chelsea and Bayern Munich also said to be interested.

His impressive 11 clean sheets in 29 Serie A games says he’s certainly a keeper the Irons should be considering. He’s averaged under a goal conceded every game, so it’s hard to imagine him struggling to adapt to the Premier League.
