West Ham are still very keen on signing Ezechiel Banzuzi this summer, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The Dutch midfielder, who currently plays for Belgium Pro League side OH Leuven, was a significant target for the club during the January transfer window for Graham Potter.

Although a deal could not be reached during that particular window, our club insider Ex has reported that talks for the player are set to resume this summer, although there is expected to be competition – with Borussia Dortmund also keen.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, Ex has advised that talks will continue as we try and land the 20 year old midfielder at the end of the season, with Lucas Paqueta’s current betting hearing playing no bearing on whether we pursue a deal or not.

“Talks will continue this summer as we aim to sign Banzuzi,” said the club insider. “The club and Potter are keen to land the player and it’s understood that the situation with Paqueta will not impact whether we aim to sign Banzuzi or not.”

Ex is set to provide an update on club matters later today on Patreon, with further news on the pursuit of Banzuzi also set to be provided.
