West Ham don’t want to let Luis Guilherme leave on loan this summer with Feyenoord interested in a move for the Brazilian midfielder.

It has been a very underwhelming first season in claret and blue for what we all thought was going to be an excellent young talent in Luis Guilherme, but it just hasn’t worked out.

The 18-year-old was a Tim Steidten signing that Julen Lopetegui very clearly didn’t really want in his squad, and he didn’t use him. Graham Potter has also barely used the wide man, even when our attack was riddled with injuries.

While pretty much every West Ham fan wants to see what Guilherme can do in claret and blue it looks certain he will depart this summer for what will most likely be comfortably less than the £25m we paid for him.

Feyenoord reportedly made a loan-t0-buy offer in January, but the Hammers rejected as they have no desire to loan him out. If we don’t receive a suitable offer for the Brazilian midfielder it would be great to keep him around to see what he can do.

He is undoubtedly a talented player, we have actually seen small glimpses of it in the very limited minutes he’s had on the pitch. With safety looking almost guaranteed as things stand, it would be great to see Graham Potter use the final nine games of the PL season as a pre-season which could give youngsters like Guilherme a chance to see what they can do.
