West Ham are gearing up for a significant summer of change within the senior squad, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

Following what has been a dismal season in east London thus far, with the club currently occupying 17th spot in the Premier League despite a high level of investment made last summer, its understood the club are set for a rebuild to accommodate the plans Graham Potter has for West Ham.

“I have been told that almost every player has their price,” stated Ex. “Of course, I believe there will be some exceptions to the rule notably with Jarrod Bowen – who the club have reiterated to me they are not prepared to sell, Crysencio Summerville, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and some of the young players, but almost every other first team squad member should be considered available for the right price.”

“Michail Antonio’s future obviously depends on his recovery and whether he can prove he can still play the highest level. The club will monitor this but if he does get a new deal it’s likely to be on less than he is currently on.

“Aaron Cresswell would love to stay at the club, and is the most deserving in my eyes. A new one year deal will enable him to provide cover for the left back and left centre half position, whilst mentoring Scarles for another year and also being a great presence and personality around the place.”

Ex also provided the latest on our pursuit of Championship players, with promotions now being confirmed, which could well impact our chances of landing players considered of serious interest.

“As we exclusively revealed the initial interest to follow on, we believe talks have continued with CJ Egan-Riley of Burnley who recently got promoted,” added Ex. “He is still out of contract with Burnley desperate to keep him but we are trying to persuade him to join us.

“Burnley’s promotion is not ideal however for our other targets from that club. I’ve mentioned those targets before but the same can also be said for Leeds where we also liked Mateo Joseph and Ethan Ampadu.

“We will also be hoping that Sunderland do not go up too where we also have a number of targets.

“There was also strong talk that we like Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton, however that could well be cooling now as other full backs are being considered.”
