West Ham are understood to closing in on a deal for a new shirt sponsor from next season, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
“There has been a lot of speculation recently as to who the kit sponsors will be going into the next season,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “There is one year left before the voluntary ban on having shirts sponsored by betting firms comes into place for the 2026/27 season.
“Betway have been the official shirt sponsor since February 2015 and their current deal is rumoured to equate to £10m a year.
“Although not officially confirmed as yet and there is still time for movement, it is thought they could be coming to the end of their last season.
“Ironically rumours within betting circles suggest that Irish betting company BoyleSports could be about to take over the sponsorship with a record deal of north of £12.5m per year.
“Of course after one year they would have to relinquish their position on the front of the shirts but could then move to the sleeve sponsor for at least the next two years.
“West Ham would then be free to negotiate a new shirt sponsor with a non betting company after a year when the voluntary ban comes in.
“Due to the involvement of another betting company and them wanting exclusive access with the club, Betway would no longer work with West Ham and would explore other avenues.
“As we have said this is not officially confirmed but does seem to be an accurate picture of what potentially could happen.
“When questioned about whether Betway would be the shirt sponsor next year a top source says “Time will tell, an announcement will be made in due course”.
