West Ham head to the south coast to take on a fellow out-of-form club in Brighton this afternoon.
Pressure is certainly on Graham Potter today as he faces his former club, with our Hammers in need of a positive display to lift the mood in east London.
ExWHUEmployee has provided the early team news ahead of the game, as West Ham look to get a much-needed 3 points to give some hope this tough season can end on a positive note.
“West Ham go into the match with manger Graham Potters former club needing a good performance to lift spirits,” stated Ex.
“Edson Alvarez is a severe doubt for the match with a reported “back injury” meaning there is a chance he will not feature.
“Niclas Fullkrug had some very strong words on his teammates following the Southampton result and it will be interesting to see how they respond and whether this affects his selection for the match at all.
“Potter tends to prefer 5 at the back for away visits and this could see Mavropanos return to the back five. Aaron Cresswell is still a doubt for the match having missed the last couple of games.
“It is thought that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be fit enough to be considered for selection for the game and should come in at right back.
“The manager will also make a decision at left back/left wing back with Emerson hoping to keep his place in the defence particular in a back five where he can get up the pitch more freely.
“Evan Ferguson is unable to feature in the match due to Brighton being his parent club following his loan move in January.”
