West Ham are looking to further support Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay ahead of a very busy summer, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Following what has thus far been an incredibly disappointing and frustrating season for all connected with the club in east London, it’s widely anticipated that West Ham will press head with a significant overhaul of the squad during the upcoming transfer window.

Graham Potter, although under the spotlight following a poor run of results since taking over in January, is set to lead with Macaulay a recruitment drive of new players, with a focus being on bringing down the age of our squad with more pace and drive which has clearly been lacking.

Macaulay, who the club paid compensation to Chelsea to recruit to support the Head Coach, is known as the right-hand-man for Potter and is now operating as the clubs Head of Recruitment.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, club insider Ex has advised that the club are currently interviewing to grow Macaulays team, with new scouts wanted to help grow our network as we look to build a squad capable of competing and playing within a system that Graham Potter is eager to bring to West Ham.

“We understand the club are currently speaking with scouts and others as we look to grow our scouting network, ahead of what is expected to be a very busy and significant summer for West Ham,” said Ex.

“With Potter and Macaulay set to oversee a rebuild of the squad, the club are eager to strengthen in this department, with pressure very much to deliver after such a poor season.”
