West Ham United could make a move for a long-term defensive target as Fikayo Tomori has been linked with a move from AC Milan this summer.
Graham Potter wants to completely reshuffle the West Ham squad this summer and he is targeting a defender to replace Konstantinos Mavropanos who will likely depart this summer.
That man could be long-term target Fikayo Tomori who looks set to leave AC Milan this summer. The Englishman is set to be available for as little as £25m this summer according to MilanLive. Milan may even be willing to sell him for less than that, as they try to gather together some funds for a summer rebuild, much like West Ham.
While Tomori’s stocks aren’t as high as they were a couple of years ago, when he was being linked to £60m returns back to the Premier League. He would bring some much needed defensive qualities to the Hammers- he’s quick, strong in the air, good in the tackle and a great passer. These attributes would make the 27=year-old perfect in a Potter back three alongside Kilman and Todibo.
As well as the defence, the Hammers need to improve the rest of the team with central midfielders and a striker top of the priority list for Graham Potter and Kyle Macauley.
