Crysencio Summerville sends message to West Ham fans after undergoing surgery.

Having opted out of it months ago, Crysencio Summerville has had no choice but to undergo surgery following his hamstring injury that he suffered during Graham Potter’s first game in charge.

Although the delaying of the surgery is said to have made things more complicated, it was successful and Summerville was quick to send a message to West Ham fans. “First of all thank you God. Everything went well with the surgery,” he wrote on social media.

“Hammers, it wasn’t the season we hoped for, but we will be back next season to give our all for the club and the fans. On a personal note, I will focus on my recovery and my comeback now, and I can’t wait to be back and show you guys the magic you’ve been waiting for.”

“I see you guys soon! CS COYI.”

While the note is very personal, the whole situation is extremely frustrating. Due to him refusing the surgery initially, his recovery has been delayed massively. If he had had it when it was recommended, he probably would’ve been back by now, or at the very least had a full preseason. He’s now not expected to be back until the end of preseason/the start of the new campaign.
