West Ham today take on bitter rivals Spurs at the London Stadium desperately seeking a much needed win.

Graham Potter is understandably a frustrated figure at present, with results not necessarily reflecting the performances of late, so it’s hoped today will see that fortune shift.

West Ham will of course be without Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville for today’s encounter, while Niclas Fullkrug is pushing for a start.

Evan Ferguson is available for selection having been suspended for the Brighton match last weekend.

“Whilst Potter tends to favour four at the back at home, five at the back away from home has tended to see the better performances under his spell so he could also opt to play this way in this home game,” stated ExWHUEmployee on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“The game has been labelled as El Crapio given the poor league form and positions of both sides and is a game Potter really needs to win to deflect already mounting pressure.

“Aaron Cresswell is fit and could come back into the side today as part of a potential five. Tomas Soucek is likely to keep his spot after scoring in our last match against Brighton.

“Edson Alvarez is said to be fit and has trained and it will be interesting to see if the manager considers him for selection.

“German international forward Niclas Fullkrug is also pushing for a start having been a sub against Brighton. Fullkrug has been one of the better players in recent weeks and should return to the side.”

James Maddison and Dominic Solanke are high serious doubts for the London derby, with Lucas Bergvall and Son Heung-min confirmed as absent.
