West Ham fans are in meltdown after Graham Potter made a shocking comment during his press conference on Friday.

Ahead of the clash with Tottenham Hotspur today, the Hammers boss said “hopefully” Ange Postecoglu’s side can make the Europa League final.

For any West Ham manager to say that would be crazy. But for Potter, who is yet to convince the majority of West Ham fans yet and to say it during one of our worst seasons in over a decade is mad.

West Ham fans have been calling for the managers head since this press conference. And it’s understandable as to why, a West Ham manager cannot be saying stuff like that if he wants to get the fans onside.

However, realistically, he can’t be let go after making one stupid comment when he probably wasn’t really thinking about what he was saying.

The only way he can recover from this quickly is by beating Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium this afternoon, but that looks rather unlikely after looking at our recent form.
