West Ham failed to gain a much needed win over Spurs at the weekend, which again left many longing for the season to end.

It was hoped that the fixture would offer a moment for fans to enjoy this season, which has been torrid for all connected with the club, but West Ham ultimately failed to take advantage of a very average Spurs side.

West Ham though didn’t play badly overall, the big frustration was that the visitors goal came from an error from Max Kilman.

Speaking after the game, The West Ham Way Podcast duo Dave Walker and ExWHUEmployee were both understandably frustrated and flat, as this awful season finally gets set to draw to a close, with now just 3 matches remaining.

“I can’t help but feel that it was another opportunity missed to give the fans something to smile about as the season draws to a close,” stated Walker. “Tottenham are poor, we were at home and they have their minds on Europe. Just another deflating day at the office.”

Ex agreed with his co-host, as he admitted that it was a game that usually has the fans excited for, but it appeared the season has taken its toll on the enthusiasm.

“It was probably the most uneventful derby with Spurs that I can recall,” said Ex. “Usually I really look forward to this game but I just wasn’t that bothered.

On the whole I thought we played ok although we should have done better with the amount of changes spurs made and with their focus elsewhere! Again a big defensive mistake cost us. So much works needs to be done in the summer
