Aaron Wan-Bissaka was happy with the effort West Ham put in against Tottenham.

Obviously, results have been extremely disappointing this season. This can be put down to various reasons, but probably the biggest is a lack of effort from the players. Clearly, the group is fragmented, and some players just do not want to be at the club.

However, despite it being a mediocre performance overall, the Hammers at least showed some fight against Tottenham.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was one of the best players on the pitch, but the overall effort from the team was what pleased him. “All round, I think every player gave their best, from the the boys who started to the boys that came on the pitch,” he said.

“[We pressed with more intensity and] As a team as well, going together. That pushes everyone on.”

“We had to bounce back from their goal. Obviously, that’s the hard part, coming back from 1-0 down. We stayed positive and knew that we’d get our chance.”

“Sometimes in football, you need luck. Obviously, we haven’t had that [in recent months], but we still have a positive mindset, going into games and giving our all.”

“It’ll be nice to go to Old Trafford next week. I haven’t been there in a while, but at the end of the day, it’s a football game, and we have the mentality to go there and win.”

The right-back has been one of very few bright spots this season, and he’s already shown that Manchester United were foolish to let him leave for so cheap. Hopefully he can demonstrate just how good he is in their own backyard.
