Pundit encourages Liam Delap to join West Ham over Manchester United.
While both Manchester United and West Ham have historically been worlds apart, recent seasons have brought the two clubs much closer in line. Unfortunately for both sides, this season it’s been at the complete wrong end of the table.
For a while now, both have been linked with moves for Ipswich’s Liam Delap, who is said to prefer the Manchester club over the East London outfit.
However, Gabby Agbonlahor has urged the striker to rethink. “If I was him, mate, I wouldn’t be going there [Man United] at the moment,” he told Alan Brazil on talkSPORT.
“No? Would you sit tight, would you, or?” Brazil responded.
“No, no, I wouldn’t stay at Ipswich, I’d go to like a West Ham, Al, go and prove yourself at a West Ham next step. Would you not? They need a striker. Ferguson will go back to Brighton, he’s only on loan, hasn’t worked out. They’re desperate for a striker.”
For once, the former Villa man makes a great point. For his personal development, moving to the London Stadium is a much better opportunity. If for nothing else, Old Trafford is in disarray and almost every player that moves there seems to regret it.
