West Ham rejoin transfer race for relegated bargain.
After winning Hammer of the Year in his first season at the club, it’s fair to say that Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been an immense signing.
If the club had paid £40 million for him, fans would probably still say they underpaid, but the fact they secured his services for just £15 million is ridiculous.
However, finding their right-back wasn’t easy, as not only did they have to tango with Manchester United, but first they went back and forth with Southampton over the potential signing of Kyle Walker-Peters.
While the East London side were very keen, Southampton were holding out for £25 million, an astronomical fee considering he had a year left on his contract.
Now, it’s been reported that the Hammers will attempt to sign him on a free this Summer. While both him and Wan-Bissaka are naturally right-backs, they both have the ability to play on the left too.
Unfortunately, both Everton and Tottenham are also holding firm interest which could derail their plans.
