West Ham tipped to receive an astonishing fee for flop signing.

The fact that neither Tim Steidten nor Julen Lopetegui are still employed at West Ham probably says everything you need to know about how unsuccessful the last transfer window was.

Despite being a free transfer, one of the most disappointing signings has been Guido Rodriguez. The Argentine has failed to adapt to English football and has, for the most part, been extremely poor.

However, former Hammer Allen Martin still believes the Irons could get as much as £10 million for him.

“I think to get anything for him would be good,” Martin told West Ham Zone. “He hasn’t been good enough or shown enough quality. There’s been glimpses, but not enough, definitely not.”

“If they could get £10m for him, that would be a fantastic deal.”

“He hasn’t played that many games, but he hasn’t excelled when he has played, so anything gained to put back in the money pot is positive.”

“They’ll have to divide that pot up across several different players because West Ham do need a lot of players to take the club forward.“

Realistically, as Martin said, any sort of fee would be good. Anything above £5 million would be an absolute robbery.
