Graham Potter wants to bring back the family feel to West Ham.
It’s been a long, long season for West Ham United. Fans are understandably glad to see the back of it. A year of massive change turned out to be a massive failure.
However, it’s hard to not feel like the bad times sill be only just beginning unless this transfer window is spot on.
Graham Potter is going to be extremely busy in the lead up to pre-season, where he is aiming to bring back the “family” feel to West Ham. “It’s going to be great and I’m really looking forward to it,” he told whufc.com. “I’ll take the time now to have a little reflect and refresh and then I’m really looking forward to pre-season.”
“It feels like I haven’t had one for a while, so it’s going to be a really nice time to get to know the players and everybody a bit better outside the competition phase and just build the players up and then hopefully there will be some new faces and we’ll look to gel the group and work in the environment and work in the culture. These things are so important for us.”
“West Ham is a fantastic Football Club and like I’ve said many a time, it’s like a family and we need to make sure we respect that and that’s where the work is going to be, in pre-season.”
That unity is something a lot of us fans are desperately missing. If he can work on restoring that connection between the supporters and the players then he’ll get a lot more backing from the stands.
