West Ham tipped to sign keeper from London rivals.

With Fabianski departing, West Ham are in desperate need of a new shot stopper this Summer. Alphonse Areola’s performances this season haven’t been good enough, and he needs serious competition.

Unfortunately, many fans’ first choice Kelleher has joined Brentford.

Given the club’s reluctance to buy before they sell, this has left them to assess loan options, with Chelsea’s Petrovic reportedly topping the list. Fan favourite Martin Allen believes the deal is a “win-win” for everyone involved. “They’ll be looking for him to go out on loan or on a permanent deal,” he told West Ham Zone.

“Whether, at the moment, West Ham can afford a permanent deal or if it will just be a loan for the season with a fee to help Petrovic play in the Premier League and put him in the shop window.”

“Maybe if he does well enough, Chelsea could recall him and have him for the rest of the season, because we all know that Chelsea are unhappy with their goalkeeper situation.”

“It would be a win for Chelsea to move him on to play in the Premier League, it would be great for the player, and, if he does well, it would be good for West Ham to have a keeper come in to improve the situation. It’s a win-win situation all around.”
