West Ham attacker Luis Guilherme has a big role to play next season if he sticks around under Graham Potter.

Luis Guilherme has had a tricky first year in claret and blue since arriving for £25m from Palmeiras in June 2024. However, in the last few weeks of the season, he managed to get some more minutes on the pitch and looked impressive.

The 19-year-old has had the dream summer as he got married to his partner back in Brazil a few days ago. He is likely to return to London in July with a new squad role at West Ham.

The Hammers are expected to sell Mohammed Kudus to raise funds this summer with Saudi clubs, Chelsea and Newcastle United interested in a move for the Ghanaian. This would open up an opportunity to be second choice to Jarrod Bowen in his preferred right-wing position.

West Ham are strapped for cash this summer, so if we sell Kudus we will not be signing another right winger because we need to spend the money elsewhere. This gives Guilherme the perfect opportunity to show his potential in a West Ham shirt next season.

If Bowen was every injured last season, Mohammed Kudus moved to the right side and Guilherme was either made to play on the left, which he only did a couple of times, or he would remain on the bench and Carlos Soler or Lucas Paqueta would play out wide.
