West Ham United have to sell Mohammed Kudus this summer to raise funds for Graham Potter to use in the transfer window.

Rumours suggest the Hammers are strapped for cash this summer, and we have to sell to buy. Ghanaian winger Mohammed Kudus is said to be the first man on the chopping block due to his value and squad role.

Kudus is undoubtedly one of the best players at the club; however, he isn’t going to achieve all he can at West Ham. The former Ajax man wants to play on the right wing, and he deserves to be a starter at a top club, but the reality is, he can’t be that at West Ham.

The 24-year-old has no chance of ever displacing Jarrod Bowen in the team, and he doesn’t have the same impact playing on the left, so it makes complete sense to sell him and invest the money elsewhere.

However, the sale of the winger hasn’t really gone to plan so far. There has been talk of offers from Chelsea and Manchester United, but they are reportedly only willing to stump up £50m, the Hammers want at least £65m for the man they signed for £36m two years ago.

The latest team linked with Kudus is Spurs. We don’t usually like doing business with them, but if they can match or get closer to our demands, we may have no other choice but to sell to them so we can get the players Potter wants.
