West Ham have been linked with a £40 million move for injury prone Premier League star.

Despite making the mistake countless times before, West Ham keep buying injury prone players. While he’s somewhat popular amongst fans, Niclas Fullkrug, for example, was a ridiculously stupid signing given his medical history.

Unfortunately, according to reports, the Hammers still haven’t learnt from their lesson as they are said to be in talks with Aston Villa over a move for Jacob Ramsey.

Now 24-years-old, Ramsey was once one of the country’s brightest prospects. However, he has missed over 40 games through injury in just the last two seasons alone which has seriously stunted his development. Across that time, he’s managed just 6 Premier League goal involvements.

As much as there’s still a quality player there, it would be absolutely foolish for our Irons to commit to signing him on a permanent basis. If Villa could agree to a loan deal and the Englishman stayed for the whole season, then maybe it would be worth considering signing him permanently. Otherwise, we must steer well clear.
