West Ham can turn their fortunes around under Graham Potter next season, but it all depends on the transfer window.
There are a lot of problems at West Ham at the moment and there isn’t many people involved with the club that is confident going into the new season. Last season was one of the worst in recent times and we’re short of funds for this summers transfer window.
Our policy of selling before we buy this summer is going to make it difficult, but if we can somehow ace the transfer window with these constraints then we could actually have a good season.
If we sign well, I wouldn’t be surprised if we are challenging for the European places, but if we don’t manage to make the much needed changes to the squad then I can see us being in the thick of a relegation battle next term.
We need to completely rebuild the midfield, a starting left-back and a consistent striker if we want any chance of having an impressive season, if we don’t do these things I’d say we’re the fourth most likely team to be relegated.
While the future of the team is in Potter’s hands, I think next season is out of his hands, it is up to the club to give him the funds to sign his own players so he can make his mark on the team, if he isn’t given funds were likely to see more of the same as last season.
