West Ham forward and Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has signed with a new agent, as speculation about his future and a potential summer move continues to grow.
As reported by Sun Sports journalist Rahman Osman, Kudus has signed with ROOF (Representatives of Outstanding Footballers), a football agency, which represents a number of high profile players across Europe including the likes of Kai Havertz, Virgil Van Dijk, Marc Andre Ter Stegen and Serge Gnabry.
The move is a notable development amid ongoing links with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle.
His West Ham contract includes an £85 million release clause that is active for ten days at the beginning of July. Whether a side would meet that valuation remains to be seen, especially after his significant dip in form during the 2024/25 season.
In his first season at West Ham, the 24 year old was outstanding, scoring some memorable goals and regularly showcasing the world class ability he possesses when on form. Kudus ended his debut campaign in claret and blue with 14 goals and six assists in all competitions.
Last season, however, saw a start decline in his returns. There were various points in the season where it was clear he was lacking confidence, particularly in front of goal, where the coolness and swagger he displayed in the previous campaign seemed to desert him. He finished the 24/25 season with five goals and four assists in all competitions.
Despite contributing fewer goals and assists, the Hammers forward still got on the ball and tried to make things happen in a West Ham side that massively under performed. Kudus topped the Premier League for the most dribbles completed last season.
Although the Hammers may not see Kudus’ release clause met this summer, the Club’s hierarchy will still be confident they can make a healthy profit on the £38 million they spent to sign him from Ajax.
Some reports have linked Kudus with a move to the Saudi Pro League. The 24 year old’s release clause for Saudi teams is said to be more than £100 million. It is thought Saudi teams would be willing to offer the Hammers more than Premier League sides at present, but it has been suggested that Kudus would prefer to continue his career in the Premier League rather than make a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia.
