West Ham’s owners are reported to be set to inject £90m into the club to help fund our ailing transfer business.
According to the reports, deadlines have been set on the sales of Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez and Nayef Aguerd.
The question must be asked though; why the wait? Why again do the club have to paralysed by its own interval rules?
Much like the imposed rule of only hiding managers that are unemployed. But happy to waste millions on players we know are complete gambles.
Whilst other clubs are ahead of the game when it comes to PSR rules and cash flow issues, it feels West Ham are dragging our feet. Slowly coming to terms of the reality of the situation.
The latest talk of a cash injection are welcome, but this should have been in place in what is such a crucial window and period for the club.
Should these reports be accurate, then let’s hope our slow start to the summer is set to go into turbo – with so much to be done to our current squad, as another week looks to set to close with nothing yet achieved.
