Lucas Paqueta is open to a move to Saudi Arabia this Summer.

Once upon a time, Lucas Paqueta was on the verge of joining Manchester City for a whopping £80 million. However, just a couple of years on and the Brazilian has become a shadow of his former self.

The investigation into the betting charges that prevented his move up north are, supposedly, coming to an end in the coming weeks. While it’s been claimed that the midfielder will not push for a move, the Hammers may choose to cash in on the big name player.

It’s been heavily rumoured that he could move back to Brazil, particularly to his boyhood club of Flamengo, which they could fund through their impressive club world cup campaign.

Much to the Irons delight though, reports have now claimed that Saudi clubs are sniffing around him, and he’s said to be open to the idea of mixing to the Middle East.

This could mean that the Hammers get a much bigger payday than they originally would have expected, but this is assuming he’s found innocent. If he is found guilty then it will be a huge dent to the club financially.
