West Ham United may be able to avoid selling one of their star men to Tottenham Hotspur, as other Champions League clubs show interest in Mohammed Kudus.

Over the last week, it has looked like Mohammed Kudus is closing in on a move to Spurs. Fabrizio Romano has said he is keen on the move, and personal terms have been discussed. However, there has been no movement on the fee, as the Hammers want at least £60m, while Spurs are seemingly only willing to pay £50m.

Kudus is said to be Thomas Frank’s top winger target this summer after being rejected by Bryan Mbuemo; however, they could miss out if they aren’t willing to up their offer. Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Liverpool all have an interest in the Ghanaian, so Spurs will have to move fast if they want their man.

However, it may not be as simple as making a £60m offer and it being accepted. The phrase going round at the moment is “a Spurs tax”, GIVEMESPORT journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that there is different pricing for Tottenham due to our rivalry and past dealings with the North Londoners.

The Hammers would probably be looking at £65-70m if they were to sell to Spurs. And to be honest, despite his poor season last time out, I don’t actually think that’s asking for too much. Kudus is still an excellent player with potential to become a world beater, he was simply just played out of position too much.

If he nails down that right-wing spot at Spurs, I believe he could become a brilliant player under Thomas Frank and put up similar numbers to what Bryan Mbuemo put up under the Dane at Brentford last season.
