West Ham fans aren’t happy as reports suggest Mohammed Kudus wants to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a bid of around £50m rejected for Mo Kudus, with the Hammers looking for around £70m for his services. The Ghanaian has been in talks with the North Londoners and personal terms aren’t expected to be a problem if a deal can be done.

The same reports are suggesting Kudus only wants to join Spurs now after being persuaded by Thomas Frank’s project for him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Fabrizio Romano says Kudus is not negotiating with other clubs because he is giving priority to Tottenham.

And unsurprisingly, this has been met with a bad reaction from West Ham fans with many now giving him the nickname ‘Mohammed Judas”.

While it is awful that one of our most talented players is recent times is potentially going to join one of our biggest rivals, I don’t blame him at all. The 24-year-old has done nothing wrong during his time at the club, apart from not being as good as Jarrod Bowen.

Kudus had a very poor season at the London Stadium last time out, but it wasn’t completely his fault. He was being played out on the lgft wing pretty much the whole season, only playing on the right when Bowen had to play up front. His game isn’t suited to playing on the left at all, his left foot just isn’t strong enough to consistently score and create goals on that side.

The former Ajax man has been publicly put up for sale by the club this summer because of our needs to raise funds to spend on other players. He’s pretty much being forced out, so I don’t really see how anyone can blame him for wanting to join a team that has made it clear they want him at their club.
