AC Milan are interested in a move for Edson Alvarez after his Gold Cup heroics, and he could be part of a swap deal.
West Ham are in desperate need of a reshuffle in midfield this summer and AC Milan may be able to help us out with that. Graham Potter is keen to move on Edson Alvarez this summer as he is a player that doesn’t really fit into his plans and he is worth a lot of money, money which can be spent on improving the midfield.
Milan are interested in making a move for the 27-year-old Mexico captain, while the Hammers are reportedly interested in their 22-year-old midfielder Yunus Musah. The USA International is reportedly free to leave the Rossoneri this summer after sporting director Igli Tare confirmed he is available for transfer.
Two players available, and both would probably want the move, so it should be a simple enough move to make happen, but it’s not going to be that easy. We will probably demand at least £25m for Alvarez, Milan will probably want a similar fee for Musah, but I can’t see us being willing to match that, unless Musah is a priority target for Potter, then that would make a deal very possible.
The former Arsenal academy man is the type and profile of midfielder Potter wants at the club, however, he isn’t a name that has been linked heavily and by reliable sources. At this stage, someone like Raphael Onyedika seems a lot more likely to become a Hammer.
