West Ham are considering a move for a lethal Italian striker.

One of Graham Potter’s biggest trouble areas this transfer window is the striker spot, as it has been for many years.

While, at the time of writing, there’s not been any moves made for forwards, the Kudus money could help the club to start making approaches.

According to reports, one player on the Hammers’ radar is Andrea Pinamonti. The Sassuolo striker spent the season on loan at Genoa, where he scored 10 Serie A goals, just narrowly missing out on his tally of 11 the season prior.

His hold up play, finishing, and strength all help him to be lethal and standing at 6ft2 he’s quite strong in the air.

If that all sounds a bit familiar that’s because it’s the same story for Haller, Scamacca, and Fullkrug; all players who have flopped in claret and blue. Why in the world the club would want another striker of a similar nature after seeing failures time and time again is beyond me, but hopefully, whoever they do bring in turns out to be the right choice or it could be a very long season.
