West Ham want to sign failed wonderkid in hopes they can help him re-find his form.
Joe Willock once was one of the most exciting players in the Premier League. At 21-years-old he moved from Arsenal to Newcastle, scoring in 7 consecutive Premier League matches and looking certain to become one of England’s next big players.
However, his decline was almost as rapid as his climb and he’s since gone on to be nothing more than a decent midfielder for Newcastle.
Admittedly, injuries haven’t helped him as he made just 9 appearances in the 23/24 season. With that being said, his 11 starts last season were largely down to him simply not being an important player for the Geordies.
Despite this, it’s been claimed that West Ham could look to sign him this Summer.
Undoubtedly, they’ll be hoping they can help him find that spark that made him so deadly a few years ago. With that being said, it’s certainly a risk signing someone with his injury record, especially for a club with such poor luck when it comes to injuries.
