West Ham have identified three midfielders whom we hold interest in this summer, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As the window now comes to life in east London, following the sale of Mohammed Kudus – who massively underperformed last season, the club are now in the process of ramping up pursuits of players as we build the squad ahead of the new season.

Graham Potter is eager to bring a younger and faster paced brand of football to West Ham, with a desire for exciting up and coming players who show hunger and commitment.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Podcast, our insider Ex has advised that the club have identified midfielders who are understood to be of serious interest.

Southampton player Mateus Fernandes is one the club are very much looking at as a potential option this summer, with the Portugal U21 star a player admired by Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay.

Another player of interest is Bilal El Khannouss of Leicester City. The Moroccan international is a player who has been linked with a move to Arsenal previously, however he is said to be other being closely monitored.

Lastly, the latest update from Ex has reported that we are also very much interested in is Andrey Santos of Chelsea, with the versatile midfielder one we are targeting. This however is more likely to be a loan arrangement at this stage.
