West Ham make a clear decision on defense as he nears departure.

Nayef Aguerd, despite failing to impress in a West Ham shirt, is one of the club’s most valuable assets following his superb season in La Liga.

The Moroccan was once targeted by the likes of Real Madrid, but this interest died down ahead of the transfer window.

According to reports, the Hammers have rejected a loan bid from AS Roma for the defender, and the club are said to have made their stance on him clear after it emerged that Graham Potter would be in favour of keeping him.

Any bid that doesn’t meet the board’s valuation (believed to be around £20-25 million) will be rejected, and he will not be allowed to leave on loan. If no one meets this value, then he will remain in East London.
