West Ham flop secures move to massive European club.
Following the success of Jesse Lingard, West Ham haven’t had much luck when it comes to loans. Kalvin Phillips, arguably, cost David Moyes his job with how bad he was, and last season Evan Ferguson was so underwhelming that fans forgot he was even there.
At one point, Ferguson was one of, if not the, hot prospects in his position. He had everything to become one of the world’s best, but injuries and other external factors have derailed his career.
His loan to East London was meant to be a chance for him to find his form in new surroundings, but it just further alienated his chances of making it in the Premier League again.
Surprisingly, the Irishman has secured another loan move, this time to Italian giants Roma with an option to buy around £33 million.
Sometimes a move abroad is the only thing that can help a player with issues with form and injuries such as Ferguson, hopefully the young man can find a new lease of life in the Italian capital.
