West Ham must take full advantage and get a deal to sign Harvey Elliot over the line.

The Liverpool playmaker is heavily linked with a move to east London, with the club having been locked in lengthy talks with the Merseyside club for a couple of weeks now, as talk of a double deal including Tyler Morton being mooted.

What is clear, particularly in Elliots case, is that the player is eager to move on from the club he admits he loves – as he wants to play football and get into that England squad ahead of the World Cup this summer.

Despite the drop in mood at West Ham in recent days, due to the link to us signing Callum Wilson – there really is a chance here that Potter could land a player that could well shift the landscape this season.

Elliot is a quality player, who would undoubtedly improve West Ham considerably.

With it now clear the player is keen to move on, West Ham must start to show ambition and muscle – get the deal done and lift the waning mood in east London.
