West Ham are reportedly interested in past it striker who scored just one league goal last season.

Albert Einstein once said: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” If that is the case, West Ham need to be institutionalised.

For whatever reason, the club have this obsession with signing washed up, old has-beens who are well past their use by date.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the club have been linked with 33-year-old striker Taremi.

The Iranian once was one of Liga Portugal’s most clinical forwards, but his move to Inter Milan has been disastrous, having scored just one goal in Serie A.

Given that he has absolutely no experience in the Premier League, it would be foolish to even think about signing him.

Hopefully, these reports are nothing more than paper talk, but if it does turn out to be true Graham Potter will be having serious doubts about whether joining the club was the right choice.
