West Ham are targeting a new goalkeeper as a priority while there is an update on Lucas Paqueta, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
Following what was a poor display from Areola in the loss to Manchester United in the Summer Series tour of the US yesterday, it’s been revealed that a new goalkeeper is seen as the next key move this summer.
Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our club insider Ex has advised that a ramp up in activity to land a goalkeeper is imminent, with our insider revealing that Mads Hermensen of Leicester City is a top target.
As previously and exclusively revealed also, Michael Cooper of Sheffield United and Zion Suzuki of Palma as players of serious interest.
“West Ham are said to be ready to push through their attempts to sign a keeper in the coming days following another poor show from Areola against Manchester United,” stated Ex.
“The keeper position has been described as “TOP Priority” by a top source.”
In further news from our insider, Ex has now advised that the club have set an asking price for Lucas Paqueta this summer, with the player set to be found innocent in the spot fixing allegations.
“A top source today has came out and said that they would not sell Paqueta for anything less than £60/£70m,” added Ex.
“It has been widely reported that the Brazilian international has been found innocent of the betting charges he has been faced with for the last two years.”
