The vibe at West Ham United has completely changed this summer as Graham Potter tries to stamp his mark on the club.

After pretty much a year of negativity after David Moyes’ departure, the failed Lopetegui experiment, and Graham Potter’s damage control. The Hammers look like they’re turning a corner, and positivity is starting to show within the squad and even the fanbase.

From all the content we’ve seen from the pre-season tours of Germany and the States, the squad seems to be really getting on well. Niclas Fullkrug seems to be a huge part of that, which has been important after losing so many leaders over the summer.

The new signings Diouf and Walker-Peters look to have fit in very well, as have the loan returnees. A lot was said about whether Nayef Aguerd would cause problems if he couldn’t get a move away, but he seems to have fit back in very well and has even taken the number 5 shirt, suggesting he might want to stick around after all. Maxwel Cornet has also fit back in very well; however, it’s still unlikely he remains at the club.

The culture Graham Potter is bringing to the club is quite different from what we became accustomed to with Moyes. They’re similar as in they both want positive vibes in and around the place, but it seems like Potter allows players to express themselves a bit more.

What’s going to make the place even more positive is the news that Lucas Paqueta has been acquitted of spot fixing charges. You can tell it has taken a toll on him over the past couple of years, so having a clear-minded Paqueta can only boost the group even more, as he is one of the biggest names and characters.
