West Ham’s new signing is already loving life in claret and blue.
This Summer has been a frustrating one for West Ham fans. There’s been very little business done, and the squad isn’t in the place most fans hoped for.
Despite just three first-team signings, there’s every reason to be excited about one of them based on his recent performance.
El Hadji Malick Diouf is one of the key reasons the Hammers beat Bournemouth in their final game of their America tour. His two deadly crosses led to two goals and his performance won him man of the match.
“I think it’s Jazz, because he made one assist and one goal!” Diouf said after being awarded man of the match.
“It’s my power because we have good strikers [that type of cross], so every time I’m ready to get this kind of ball, so I just continue to give them this kind of cross.”
“I think they will be happy to score goals like that. I think they’ll be happy, and I’ll be happy. It’s like that, we are a team, so I’m just looking forward to the matches, just to help the team. We win together and we lose together.”
“We have not a good team, but a good family, yes? I really like the dressing room. We are really close, each player. So I think it’s a good way, because we are going to start the season so we need everything to be close, to make a good family, like the dressing room. I’m happy for that.”
If Diouf can continue performing this way, he could turn out to be an excellent signing indeed.
