West Ham have confirmed that Michail Antonio is not signing a new deal with the club after 10 years in east London.
The former Tooting & Mitcham, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest player has cemented himself as a club legend, after lifting a European trophy, becoming the clubs record Premier League goal scorer and has created memories that will never be forgotten.
The club have now confirmed his departure as a player, however they have signaled that he is in talks to have another role, although details of this have not yet been disclosed.
“Michail will always be a much-loved and respected member of the West Ham United family,” the Club said in a statement on the Official Website. “As has been the case since December, the Club will continue to support and assist him in his ongoing rehabilitation, offering him access to training, facilities and medical care if needed.
“Dialogue continues over his future involvement with the Club in an alternative capacity – including one that would enable others to benefit from his experience and leadership qualities – and he will forever hold a special place in our 130-year history.”
