Luis Guilherme was not available yesterday after breaking his collar bone, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Following what was an awful opening day of the season for West Ham yesterday, with the side collapsing to a 3-0 defeat to the newly promoted side – one question was surrounding the absence of Guilherme from the squad.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our insider Ex has revealed this current situation, with our insider revealing that the player suffered a broken collar bone in training.

“We can exclusively reveal that Brazilian teenager Guilherme missed the Sunderland game with a broken collar bone,” stated Ex.

“The injury was picked up in training and is a real blow as he has been looking good in preseason. The source went on to say that ‘It is hopefully not too bad’.”

It’s the latest blow in what has been a bad weekend opening of the new season for West Ham. It is hoped that the result yesterday will provide evidence to the hierarchy that the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window is vitally important.

Ex is to provide the latest on the current state of play with recruitment on The West Ham Way Podcast tomorrow on Patreon.
