Two Premier League clubs are interested in signing Lucas Paqueta before the window closes.

Selling Mohammed Kudus wasn’t an issue for West Ham fans. He’d underperformed all season, had serious attitude problems, and caused issues amongst the squad. Selling Mohammed Kudus to bitter rivals Tottenham for less than his release clause however, was a massive problem.

The backlash the board received for this was huge, but they used the excuse that they were the only club in for him. However, when presented with two options for one of their other most valuable assets, would they make the same mistake twice?

Lucas Paqueta hasn’t been the same player since being caught up in the alleged betting scandal. Now he’s been found innocent though there’s a real hope that he can get back to his best.

According to reports, both Aston Villa and Spurs are weighing up a late move for the Brazilian.

While the club insist he will not be sold for less than £60 million, it remains to be seen how firm they are on that stance.

If he was to be sold to Spurs in particular, it would be the tipping point for many fans. While there’s no way back for the board as it is, things would get extremely ugly.
