Jamie Redknapp labels West Ham “the weakest team in the Premier League”.

Things at West Ham are looking dark. A disconnected fanbase, poor performances on the pitch, no sign of bringing in the players that are needed, and a board who seem to do their utmost to irritate fans.

Unfortunately, these aren’t new issues, they’ve been growing and intensifying for a good while now to create a perfect boiling pot of all the ingredients needed for relegation.

While we’re a long way from being destined for that, although it’s a real possibility this season, Jamie Redknapp has said that the Hammers are the most likely to be relegated outside of the newly promoted teams this year.

“If I’m Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds, I’m looking at West Ham and thinking, ‘they’re the ones, they’re the weakest team in the Premier League we’re going to catch’.” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“That squad isn’t good enough. They haven’t got enough good players. That midfield just couldn’t get near, they didn’t have the legs to get around. They need to get someone with real legs.”

Whether we will make those signings we so desperately need or not is the key question. If we don’t we might as well be relegated now, and that will be fully on the board.
